A court in Canada breaks with the previous scheme of other court decisions forcing Google to remove some search results from the global search engine.
This time, the ruling does not only affect searches in the country in question, but rather searches from around the world. That is to say: Google has been forced to withdraw results from google.ca and in addition to google.com. It is the first time that it has happened on an international scale.
Google has already ruled on the matter, saying that these types of sentences set the controversial precedent that any court in any country can decide what Google shows or not for everyone. Good for those who want certain information on the internet to disappear without a trace (usually companies with bad reviews or criminals with proven crimes).
via Canada also removes Google results… and on a global scale.
