Some glasses called eSight have been created with the aim of returning part of the vision to certain types of blindness. The glasses combine a camera with advanced computing and display technology to deliver real-time video that allows people who have lost their vision to see. Users have complete control over the image they see, which means that they can enhance, enlarge, and adjust the image to ensure that their eyes interpret the world around them in the most appropriate way.
The lenses do not work with people who have lost their vision completely, and according to their website, they are mainly suitable for people who have suffered: Macula Degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, Stargardt’s disease, ocular albinism, Leber’s hereditary optic neuropathy, some forms of glaucoma, and retinitis pigmentosa.
The current price is $ 15,000.
