Apple will offer three versions of the iPad mini in its catalog. The first, with hardware that is already quite old, comparable to that of the iPad 2, for a price starting at $ 249. The second, with powerful but not top-of-the-range hardware, and a Retina Display screen, for a base price of $ 299, and the third, with the same hardware as the second and TouchID, for $ 399.
Seen from that point of view, unless you desperately want TouchID, the second-generation iPad mini is the logical choice. Is TouchID worth $ 100 more to you?
Full review here: Apple hasn’t actually updated the iPad mini.
