Apple has stopped selling hardware through its online store in Russia due to the “extreme” fluctuation in the value of the ruble on Tuesday. Bloomberg echoes a statement sent by the American company.
“Our online store in Russia is currently out of service while we review prices,” company spokesman Alan Hely told the business daily.
The Cupertino people have apologized to their consumers in Russia. “We apologize to customers for any inconvenience,” the spokesperson said. The customer who decides to click on “buy” on the Russian page of the Apple Store can only see an apology message, in which they indicate that the service is being updated.
