Apple will announce this week that it has sold more iPhones in China than in the United States, according to the specialized newspaper Financial Times.
In recent years, Apple has steadily increased its efforts in China. In December 2013, it reached an agreement with China Mobile to market the iPhone 5S, and now the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
In October of last year, the company’s CEO, Tim Cook, predicted “that it is only a matter of time” that China will become “the largest contributor to Apple’s revenue.”
Now it seems that his words will be confirmed as China has become probably the most valuable market for Apple. Just last Friday, Cook opened a new Apple store in the country.
