A dangerous Trojan for Android that goes by the name “Android.Oldboot.1” has set off alarms since it cannot be completely eliminated without having to reinstall critical system files. This new bootkit malware resides in the memory of infected computers and loads from the moment the Android operating system is turned on.
In addition, it stands out because even if some elements of the Trojan are successfully removed, a component of it is stored in a protected area of memory, and will be reinstalled after the system reboot, reinfecting the device.
