It turns out that the nickname user trevely on Amazon wrote a negative review on the sale page of a router from the company Mediabridge highlighting a significant number of mysterious favorable reviews. Soon the product description became the most useful for the other buyers who came to this page.
This was not to the liking of Mediabridge.
The company irrationally threatened trevely and sent a letter written by company attorneys showing the company’s anger alleging that the written review was based on false arguments, damaged Mediabridge’s image and that they “intended to to hold him responsible for all damages suffered.
To this, trevely turned to the army of Reddit users to seek legal advice and that is how they supported him to have a voice in his case.
Finally, Mediabridge reported in a statement that Amazon had revoked its license to sell on this e-commerce site
via Amazon expels brand that threatened to sue reviewer – FayerWayer.
