Panda has detected this new phishing attack. If you receive an email with this text: “Hello, our system has detected an authorized entry of your Apple ID…”, Be careful! It’s phishing! In addition, the alleged Apple email is sent from an alleged eBay address.

If you receive an email with this text: “Hello, our system has detected an authorized entry of your Apple ID…”, Be careful!  It's phishing!With the excuse that someone has tried to access your Apple ID account, cybercriminals ask you to change your data. When you click, they take you to a page that almost perfectly mimics the Apple website:

Once you log in with your Apple ID access details, the next step is for you to update the rest of your personal information.

If you receive an email with this text: “Hello, our system has detected an authorized entry of your Apple ID…”, Be careful!  It's phishing!In addition to name, address or telephone number, they request information about our bank and credit card to verify our identity and “as a default payment method for purchases and for iTunes or App Store.”

Thus, if we fall into the trap and enter all this data, we will also be giving criminals access to this highly compromised information.

As we always say, no company will request that you send them your personal data via email. If they do, be suspicious! Furthermore, in this case, prevention is better than cure, which is why it is important to have an extra layer of protection by installing security software from the new 2015 range.
