A never-before-seen iMac with a Retina 5K display

October 16, 2014

It is the screen with the highest resolution in the world: 14.7 million pixels, exceeding not 1080p but 4K, which today seemed the last frontier of images that electronic devices show us. They are 5120 × 2880 pixels capable of generating a visual spectacle never seen before.

5kA text, some graphics, some videos… with a clarity never seen before. Almost infinite zooms and an unprecedented level of detail thanks to the Retina 5K display animated by quad-core processors but all this in a compact computer with all its components integrated into the screen itself (and very thin).

This model quadruples the screen pixels of the current 27 ″ iMac. offering 67% more pixels than a 4K screen. This allows video editing tools such as Final Cut Pro X to display 4K video at 100% of its size while there is still room in the margins so that they do not interfere with the viewing of files and editing tools.
