Spotify just launched Serendipity, an online map that shows when two people listen to the same song at the same time in different parts of the world. As The Verge reports, the map is not live, but it does show the data collected in the last hour of tuning on the music streaming platform.
Once the users open the map, they will see the movements around a graph showing the two cities in which the song is playing and, in addition, they can have a few seconds of sample before another song begins to sound. If, for example, you liked ‘x’ song, you can click it and the Spotify player will automatically open in a new tab to listen to the complete song.
