4K more than four Full HD displays

4K is a new video resolution where we have 4096 x 2160 pixels, its frame rate per second is still 24 and the color depth is 8 bits. This is how the film industry defines its new format, which they call 4K DCI.

From there, the broadcast and television industry adopt it with some modifications, giving rise to what we know as UHD. This variant keeps the 2,160 lines horizontal but reduces the verticals to 3860 (full HD x 2 resolution). This is to maintain the 16/9 aspect ratio that is already broadcast, avoiding the annoying black bands.
