According to the official numbers provided by Google on its developer page, the latest version of its mobile operating system is already present in almost 21% of all devices that operate with Android. The figure is 20.9% exactly.
This means that Android 4.4 “KitKat” is the second most popular version, behind only “Jelly Bean”. Under this name are the versions, 4.1.x, 4.2.x and 4.3, which in total agglomerate more than half of the Android devices. How much? 54.2%.
The top 3 is closed by “Gingerbread”, with a 13.6% share that allows it to overtake even a more recent version such as “Ice Cream Sandwich” and its 10.6%.
